Slapstick Festival, Bristol’s annual festival of silent and classic screen comedy, has teamed up with internationally respected film historian Pamela Hutchinson, award-winning performer, filmmaker and playwright Malaika Kegode and Bristol’s reigning City Poet Kat Lyons to present a day-long programme looking at some of the wittiest ways movie-makers have explored and disrupted gender roles during the 20th century.
